In our inn you will find three generations working together to make you stay enjoyable.
Ulrich Dörfler is the master chef, creating fine regional and international dishes with love. His wife Kristina minds the hotel functions - reception desk, reservations, and maid service for the rooms. Grandma Pauline is the friendly spirt in the inn, making marmalade, pastries and farmers bread according to the old recipes. Her husband Helmut Dörfler, operates the farming part of the inn that supplies the resaurant with its own sausage, pork and chicken. His special Friday evening suckling pig is famous in the area. Our newest family member is Leo who entered the world on 17 May 2005.
The history of the Zum Rappen Inn begins in the year 1756. (More Text)
This Diese Jahreszahl entdeckte Helmut Dörfler bei Umbauarbeiten im Jahr 1965 im verwitterten Gebälk. In 1862, Sophie und Andreas Dörfler (a local shepard) bought the Zum Rappen Inn. From this time comes the recipe for the excellent farmers bread still served in the restaurant today. In 1968 Pauline and Helmut Dörfler took over the operation of the inn, from his parents. Immediately they rennovated and built out the building and established a lively village tavern, well known for its friendly atmosphere, homemade fare, and popular Stammtisch (large table where the locals meet and talk about the concerns of the day over a number of beers).
Since 2002, the operation is run by Ulrich (the young master chef) and Kristina Dörfler and expanded into the Country Inn with 17 comfortable and friendly rooms that we see today. (More Text)
