Romantic medieval atmosphere, great food and wine at reasonable prices, and a very friendly inn keeper make the Altfränkische Weinstube restaurant a favorite of locals and tourists alike. If there is space at the Stammtisch (Regular's table) you can challenge one of the locals to a game of chess (the set is stored in the table's drawer). On Wednesday evenings you are very welcome to sit with the English conversation club. They love to practice their English on foreigners. Of course, on any evening you may like a romantic table near the open fireplace.

The Altfränkische Weinstube offers recipes and wine from the local Franken region and as well as a few international selections. A favorite is Schweinelendchen mit Preiselbeeren und Salat (pork tenderloins with cranberrys and a fabulous salad) accompanied by a dry red table wine. Menu served from 6 - 10:30 PM.
